
Mangoes are native to India and south east Asia. They are called the king of fruits and is a seasonal fruit, they have a unique flavour, colour and taste. During hot summer this delicious seasonal fruit gives relief from sweltering heat and has lot of health benefits too.
Mangoes are a low calorie fruit that is very high in fiber. It is a great source of Vitamins A and C. It also contains folate, iron, little calcium, vitamin E and B6. It improves eye sight, digestive health, immunity and lowers risk of certain cancers.
INGREDIENTS
- Mangoes 3
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Agar agar two tbsp
- Milk 2 tea cup
- Sugar as required
- Mint leaves for garnishing
METHOD
Wash 1 tbsp agar agar and boil it in a vessel with 1/4 tea cup water. Let it dissolve completely, till then mix it well.
Boil milk in a vessel. Add sugar and mix well. Add the agar agar and mix well. Turn off the heat.
Before the milk cools down pour it in the glasses half way. If it cools down ,the milk will set so before that has to be poured in glasses.
Keep it in the fridge to set.
Wash, peel the mangoes. Chop and remove the seeds. Blend the mango flesh in a blender to a smooth paste. Keep it aside.
Wash 1 tbsp agar agar and boil it in a vessel with 1/4 tea cup water. Let it dissolve completely, till then mix it well.
Take abother vessel pour the mango puree, lemon juice and sugar to taste. Add the agar agar and mix it well. On low flame let it come to a boilmaking sure that it doesn’t stick in the bottom. Turn off the heat.
Let it cool down a little. Add the mango puree on top of the milk in the glasses. Keep it in the fridge to set.
While serving, garnish with mint leaves and cut mangoes.
