Water melon juice with a splash of lemon  is a refreshing drink on a hot summer day to quench thirst. Watermelon is rich in  vitamin A and also rich in antioxidant. It is a rich in electrolytes and  high water content.  More over they are refreshing and cool so i simply love it.

Main ingredients in this recipe  are water melon, sugar and lemon juice, mint and ginger. All you need is a good blender and fruits to make this refreshing drink. Mint leaves are good for digestion and has cooling effects and is ideal for summer.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Fresh water melon juice   2 glass
  2. Lemon juice                         1 tbsp
  3. Sugar/honey                        1 tbsp
  4. Ginger piece                         1 inch
  5. Mint leaves                           1 tsp
  6. Ice cubes

METHOD

Deseed one portion of water melon. Cut the rind out. Take out the chunks put it in a blender add  sugar/ honey and lemon juice, mint leaves and chopped ginger. Blend it nicely. Strain the watermelon puree.

Put ice cubes in the glasses and pour the water melon directly into the glasses over the ice cubes. If you have chilled the watermelon then no need of adding ice cubes.
