The Banana I have used to make in this dish  is called Nendran Pazham in Kerala, Nendra Baale in Kannada, Nanadarkai in Mangalore Konkani, Moirachi Keli or maidyuachi Keli in Goan Konkani.

Ripe Nendran pazham are tasty and are good for making banana fritters. Slightly unripe ones are used in making chips.

INGREDIENTS

Banana                 2 no.
Maida                   1 tea cup
Rice powder      1 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Refined oil for deep fry

METHOD

In  bowl add maida, baking powder ,salt, rice powder,2 tsp oil , and half cup water to make a thick consistency batter.

Cut the banana and roll in rice powder and dip it in the batter and put it into hot oil and deep fry.

Banana fritters are ready.This dish has to be served hot.

Serve Banana fritters with ice cream.
