I marinate the chicken pieces overnight so that the ingredients are well mixed with the chicken pieces and the chicken kebabs are soft with lot of flavour and tastes delicious once it is cooked. In the marination onion and capsicum which are cut in square shape are also put. The chicken pieces are threaded in wooden skewers and cooked in tandoor, here I am using electric oven.

  1. Chicken 300gm or one small breast
  2. Red dry chillies(small) 4-5
  3. Coriander powder 2 tsp
  4. Garam masala 1 tsp
  5. Aamchur powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Ginger 1″
  8. Garlic 4-5
  9. Lemon 1
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Olive oil

In a blender add coriander powder, aamchur powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, lemon juice, ginger , garlic, salt, red dry chillies or chilli powder. Blend it to a smooth paste.

Wash the boneless chicken nicely, drain the water completely. Cut the chicken breast in small cubes. Add the above paste all over the chicken. Marinate it for 4-5 hours or overnight.

If you are taking wooden skewers dip the skewers in water for sometime. Take it out wipe it clean and line the chicken.

Preheat oven for ten minutes. Put in grill mode at 200┬░C. Grease the tray with olive oil. Keep the chicken skewers in a tray, add some olive oil on top of the chicken. Grill in middle rack for 7 – 8 minutes turn the chicken other side and grill for 7-8 minutes.

Serve hot with any green chutney.

Note: skewers are soaked in water so that it doesn’t catch fire.

Marinating overnight helps the masala to soak in the chicken and kebabs tastes better.

If you want more spicy, add chilli powder. It will give more red colour to the kebabs.

Food colour can be added to chicken to give red colour.
