Cheese cake is a sweet dish with one or more layers, bottom layer consisting of crushed cookies,sponge cakes, crackers. It is sweetened with sugar and flavored or topped with fruits, whipped cream or nuts.
This recipe has only one layer and it is topped with fruits. Fresh mango, paneer (cottage cheese), milkmaid,gelatin and cream are the main ingredients. It is not baked but refrigerated.
INGREDIENTS
Milkmaid 1 tin 400 ml
Grated paneer 200 gm
Mango chopped 400 gm
Water 1/2 cup
Cream (nestle) 200 ml
Gelatin 2 tbsp
Mango essence 1/2 tsp
METHOD
In a bowl add gelatin in half cup water and place it over a pan which already has hot water. Dissolve the gelatin and keep it aside.
In a blender blend paneer/cottage cheese, milkmaid, dissolved gelatin and mango essence. Keep some mango pieces aside for garnishing and add the rest of the mango pieces and blend it also to get a nice thick mango shake.
In a bowl add cream and whip the cream well. Fold the mango shake mixture gently into the cream.
Wash pastry tin with cold water, leave some water droplets. Pour the mixture in the pastry tin. Keep the mixture in the fridge and refrigerate overnight.
Demold very delicately and use the remaining mango to decorate.
