Mangoes are the king of fruits, it’s a seasonal summer fruit. Parents sent me a box of homegrown mangoes and I thought of preparing as many dishes as I can with this lovely sindoori organic mangoes.

Mangoes are low in calories, high in nutrients particularly Vitamin C. Its high in immunity, improves digestion, supports heart health, boosts immunity and improves eye, hair and skin health.

The dish prepared here is very simple with very less ingredients. It’s a good and healthy summer drink.

INGREDIENTS

  • Mango 1
  • Curd/ yogurt 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Honey 1 tbsp
  • Tapioca / Sabudana  1/4 cup

SERVES: 2 -3 PEOPLE

METHOD

Soak Sabudana for 4 hours in water. After 4 hrs drain the water.

Heat 4 cups water, add the Sabudana boil for 10 minutes on high heat. 

By this time it will become transparent.

Drain the water and add two cups cold water and drain again. Let it cool down.

Peel mango, discard the skin and seed.

Blend the flesh with curd, honey and cardamom powder.

Mix the cooled down tapioca Pearls with mango mixture. Keep it in refrigerator.

Pour it in glasses and serve it chilled topped with nuts.
