Button mushroom is the most common variety of mushroom consumed all over the world. White button mushroom is sold as fresh mushroom or is canned and used for soups, sauces and other food product.
Consuming mushrooms helps in preventing heart disease and cancer, boosts immune system, it includes rich amount of Vitamin D and potassium.
This recipe is easy and delicious to make and can be made if you are in a hurry. This dish can be served with bread / Indian bread or noodles. In this dish mushroom is cooked in Soya – corn flour sauce.
INGREDIENTS
- Mushroom 200 gm
- soysauce 2 tbsp
- Cornflour 1 tbsp
- Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
- Green chilies chopped 1 tbsp
- Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
- Onion 1
- Capsicum 1
- Salt to taste
- Pepper 1 tsp
- Oil. 1 tbsp
METHOD
Wash and clean nicely the mushrooms, remove all the impurities and roughly chop it.
Finely chopped, garlic, green chillies and garlic.
Chop onion and capsicum in square shape.
In a cup mix 1 and 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, 1tbsp cornflour and 6 tbsp water. Keep it aside.
Heat a tsp oil in a skillet/ deep frying pan and add the onions and capsicum and sauté on high flame till they are crisp and cooked. Remove from heat and keep it aside
Heat 2 tsp oil in the same skillet/ deep frying pan, add chopped garlic, ginger and green chillies for a minute on medium heat. Add the chopped Mushroom, cover and cook till all the water is absorbed.
On low heat add the cornflour – soy sauce mixture and keep on stirring till it becomes thick. Turn off the heat. Add the crispy onions and capsicum and mix well.
Serve hot.
Note: If you want dry as less water, if you want it gravy add more water.
