The recipe given below is simple, easy and delicious to prepare. Prawns are deep fried in a garlic pepper batter
INGREDIENTS
Prawns deshell, devein 10- 15 no.s
Refined oil for deep frying
FOR THE BATTER
Garlic minced 5-6 cloves
Pepper powder 1-2 tsp
Maida/refined flour 1/2 tea cup
Egg white 1 no.
Corn flour 1/4 tea cup
Salt to taste
METHOD
Deshell, devein and clean prawns.
In a bowl mix maida, cornflour, salt, minced garlic, egg white, pepper powder and little water. Add the prawns into it. Marinate for an hour.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan and on medium heat fry the prawns on both sides till golden brown.
Drain the prawns in kitchen towel.
Serve hot as starter/snacks or with fried rice
Note: Vannamei or Whiteleg shrimp , size 12 grams is being used in this recipe.
