Eating potatoes can increase brain function, reduce inflammation and can prevent cardiovascular disease, but if you are over weight or diabetic you have to reduce the intake of potatoes.
Potatoes are quite nutritious, very healthy, inexpensive and popular root vegetable. Boiled potatoes are rich in vitamins, phosphorus, minerals, and low in calories.
This recipe is healthy as potatoes are baked in an oven, delicious and very easy to make.
INGREDIENTS
- Potato 2
- Salt to taste
- Pepper 1 tsp
- Garlic powder. 1/2 tsp
- Italian seasoning 1 tsp
- Olive oil 1-2 tbsp
- Mozzarella cheese grated 3 tbsp
METHOD
Wash and scrub the potatoes nicely and remove all the dirt. Pat dry with a kitchen towel. Chop into wedges with the skin and keep it aside.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for ten minutes.
In a large bowl add garlic powder(or you can add fresh garlic 1 tsp), Pepper powder, Italian seasoning, salt and mix well. Add the potato slices and mix well with your hands. Add oil and and mix well.
In a baking tray either line with butter paper after greasing with 1 tsp of oil or aluminium foil and spread the potatoes in a single layer.
Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes at 180° Celsius. Take it out and add grated cheese on top and again bake for ten minutes.
Serve hot with cheese dip or tomato sauce.
