  • Maida 3 cup
  • Butter 50 gm + 2 tbsp
  • Yeast 2 tsp
  • Warm Milk 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • peanut butter 1 cup

In a bowl add warm milk, yeast, sugar. Stir it ,cover and keep aside till yeast froths( 10-15 minutes).

In a large bowl add maida/refined flour, salt , butter , mix it. Add the yeast mixture little by little and bring the dough together, it should be little sticky.

Knead for 10 – 15 minutes until it is soft and elastic.

Grease a bowl with 2 tbsp butter keep the dough inside it , cover and keep for proofing for two hours.

The dough will double in size, beat it down. Knead for two minutes.

Divide the dough in four equal parts.

Dust some flour and roll out the first ball into 9″- 10 ” in diameter circle and keep it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Keep the rest of the dough covered or it will dry out.

Leave an inch on the sides and spread the peanut butter all over the circle.

Roll the second one keep it on top of the first one. Lightly press the sides, spread peanut butter. Roll out the third one ,keep on top of second one, press gently the sides and spread peanut butter. Roll out the fourth one and put it over the third one ( dont spread peanut butter ) . Press the sides .

Keep a 2 cm small bowl or cutter in centre.

Cut clock wise.

Then cut in between the cuts.

Again in between all the cuts.

There will be 16 equal cuts.

Twist the adjacent two sides twice and punch the to seal the ends. Repeat the process.

Cover it for twenty to half an hour for proofing. If it has list shape try to seal the edges.

Preheat the oven for ten minutes. Brush the bread with milk, Bake the bread @ 180° C for 15 to 20 minutes or till the upper crust is golden in colour , convection mode. Each oven differs so bake accordingly.

Brush it with butter on top and icing sugar. Let it cool down completely. Enjoy with coffee or tea.
