Nature’s greatest energy drink is coconut water. It is sweet, most nutritious, clears urinary path and promotes digestion.

Hot summer and sweating I prefer lot of fluids, preferably fresh juices and buttermilk. I buy tender coconut daily and I thought of trying out some new combinations. In this recipe I have added ginger juice,orange juice and lemon juice to tender coconut.

INGREDIENTS

Tender coconut water                                   2 glasses

Ice cubes                                                             1 glass
Orange juice fresh                                           1/2 glass
Ginger juice                                                        1 tsp
Lemon juice                                                        1 tsp
Sugar /honey                                                     3-4 tsp(according to taste)

METHOD

In a mortar and pestle crush and squeeze out the juice from the ginger  after peeling it. Cut and squeeze juice from a lemon.

Mix tender coconut, orange juice, ginger juice , lemon juice and sugar / honey.

Add ice cubes in the glasses and pour the above mixture into it.

Serve chilled.
