Water melon is mostly eaten during summer to prevent the heat of the sun. It has got lot of health benefits. It is rich in antioxidant and plenty of water content. It helps in weight loss, good for skin and hydrates the body.
This recipe is very easy to prepare, even kids can help in preparing this recipe. Watermelon has to be chopped, made a puree, strained and poured in molds and refrigerated. If you like more sweet add sugar. The betel leaves has to be finely pureed wih milk and honey and strained and poured over almost set molds. Once it sets ,its ready. Enjoy summer with an very extraordinary flavour of paan and watermelon.
INGREDIENTS
- Watermelon 3 cups
- sugar as per taste ( optional)
- Betel leaves 3
- Milk 1/3 cup
- Honey 1 tbsp
METHOD

Cut, remove the outer skin, discard it. Deseed the watermelon and chop roughly.

Blend to a fine puree.

Strain it in a strainer. I have not added sugar because the watermelon was very sweet. If you want more sweeter you can add sugar to the watermelon juice and mix nicely. Add sugar according to your taste.

Pour this into six popsicle molds , little less than 3/4 of the mold and refrigerate for 2 hours or till it almost sets.

Wash and clean betel leaves ,remove the stem.

Add milk and blend to a fine juice.

Add honey and mix.
This also put in a strainer and strain it, discard the waste.

Pour the strained paan juice on top of the watermelon popsicle.
Refrigerate till it sets.
While removing from molds just dip 3/4 part in warm water for few seconds and take it out immediately.

Enjoy the fresh fruit betel flavoured popsicle during summertime.
