Chocolate cake has Unsweetened cocoa powder which has no sugar and less fat. It contains essential health nutrients. It contains copper and essential mineral and beneficial antioxidants.
This cake recipe is one of the best chocolate cake, it’s soft and spongy.
INGREDIENTS
- Maida. 1 3/4 teacup
- Sugar(powdered) 1 1/4 tea cup
- Butter 50 gm
- Yogurt 1 tbsp
- Milk 1/2 tea cup
- Cocoa powder 3/4 tea cup
- Baking soda 1 tsp
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Choco chips 3 tbsp
- Egg big 2
- Hot water 1/2 tea cup
- Pineapple essence. 1 tsp
METHOD
Sift maida, baking powder, Coco powder, salt, sugar and baking soda three times in a large bowl. keep it aside.
Preheat the oven for 10 minutes.
Beat two eggs nicely, then add butter, pineapple essense, yogurt, milk and beat it.
Add slowly the maida mixture and mix well. Add hot water and mix well.
Grease the tray with butter, add 1/4 tsp flour and spread it all over the tray. Pour the batter into the tray. Tap the greased tray and bake in a preheated oven at 175° C for 40-45 minutes.
Check with a tooth pick or knife, if it comes out clean the cake is done otherwise bake for some more time.
Take it out from the oven and let it cool in a wire rack.
- NOTE :
- Sieve baking powder and maida/all purpose flour three times.
- Large metal spoons are used to fold eggs into batter so that eggs do not deflate.
- Preheat 10 minutes before you place the batter.
- To test whether the cake has cooked or not just insert a knife, if it comes out clean that means cake is cooked.
- While folding the flour work quickly but gently.
