Black chickpeas are high in dietary fiber and rich in vitamins and minerals. It lowers cholesterol, stabilizes blood sugar, reduces the risk of cancer and prevents osteoporosis in women. It contains vitamin B6 and zinc thereby strengthening hair follicles and hair growth.
INGREDIENTS
Black chickpeas (boiled) 1 tea cup
Coconut grated 1/4 tea cup
Onion medium(finely chopped 1
Curry leaves 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Broken red dry chi 3-4
Oil 2 tsp
Salt to taste
METHOD
Soak the chickpeas overnight and cook it in a pressure cooker.
Take a deep frying pan, heat oil add mustard let it splutter. Add onion, curry leaves, broken red dry chilli and fry till onion turns golden colour.
Add the boiled black chickpeas and salt. Mix it well and cook at low heat for two – three minutes.
Add grated coconut and turn off the heat.
