
Sinduri mango is also known as Raspuri mango. Raspuri mangoes are cultivated in south Indian states mainly in karnataka. Raspuri mangoes have an excellent flavour and juicy texture.
They are rich in vitamins A and vitamin C. These mangoes are used in preparing juices, drinks, puddings , jam , icecream etc. It has mixed colours of orange, yellow, red and green. If it is ripened naturally it can beat an alphonse in taste but if it is not ripened naturally it will taste sour. May till June is the season for these mangoes.
INGREDIENTS
- Mango sindoori 2
- Yogurt 2 cups
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Honey as per taste
SERVES : 3 – 4 PERSONS
METHOD
Add the yogurt / curd in a muslin cloth and hang for 1 hour. After an hour take out the hung curd and kep aside.

Wash ,peel the skin and chop the flesh, discard the seed and skin.

Blend it in a blender to a very fine puree.

Add the yogurt.

Blend again and mix.

Add honey , salt and blend again.

Transfer the contents to a tight container and refrigerate overnight or till it sets.

After it is refrigerated, take it out after 2 hours and mix nicely. Refrigerate again till it sets.
Before serving take it out and leave for 5 to ten minutes.
Serve the creamy and healthy icecream in bowls with chopped nuts or sprinkles of your choice.
