Mango, orange, lemon yogurt popsicle are light and delicious summer treat. These are made with very less ingredients and is very easy to prepare. Blend with yogurt , pour in molds and freeze.

Mangoes are a low calorie fruit that is very high in fiber. It is a great source of Vitamins A and C. It also contains folate, iron, little calcium, vitamin E and B6. It improves eye sight, digestive health, immunity and lowers risk of certain cancers.

Oranges are rich in Vitamin C , B1 and A. High amount of anti oxidant helps in increasing immunity. Body becomes resistant towards common cold, flu and infections.

Lemons boost immunity, aids in digestion, detoxifies and cleanses the body and clears skin.

INGREDIENTS

  • Mango 1
  • Lemon 1
  • Orange 1
  • Yogurt 1 – 1 1/2 cup
  • Honey 1/4 -1/2 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp

METHOD

For making hung curd- Take a muslin cloth and add the curd into it. Either hang it by gathering the edges of muslin cloth or keep the muslin cloth on a strainer for 30-45 minutes. Once it becomes thick and liquid is gone , take the thick curd in a bowl and keep it aside, discard the liquid.

Wash, pat dry and peel the mango. Take out the flesh and blend to a smooth puree in a blender. Keep it aside in a bowl.

Squeeze lemon and keep it aside in a separate bowl.

Squeeze the orange and keep it in another bowl.

Divide the hung curd in three portions, and add each portion to mango, lemon and orange. Add 1/4 tsp salt in each portion of mango, lemon and orange. Add honey to each bowl of lemon, orange and mango according to your taste( I have added two tbsp each in each bowl of mango, lemon and orange).

Separately beat each one(mango, orange and lemon) in a blender or hand mix and keep it aside separately in separate bowls. See to that everytime the blender jar is clean while blending each ingredient.

While transferring to the molds add the mango puree first, then little lemon , then little orange, repeat the procedure in layers.

Keep in deep freezer till it becomes solid or for best results freeze it overnight. While taking out from the mold just dip in warm water three fourths for 15 seconds and it will easily demold.

Enjoy the popsicle in hot afternoon or evening.
